We have been learning to write explanations on household objects, I chose to write about a seat belt and the parts of it.

TE WHARE ITI This week we have been learning to create a small house(Te whare iti), We had to put in everything you need in a house, e.g. Bed, stove, windows ect.  TRANSLATION/REFLECTION/ROTATION  In art we were doing Translation which is to move or slide the same thing/photo.             There's also Reflection which is to mirror your art. The last one is rotation and basically its just 1 picture rotated left, right, up and down.

EXPLANATIONS This week we worked on new Explanations, I read an explanation about how 3D printers work DLO's We were also working on a DLO on parts of an explanation, My DLO was about the Introduction and Word focus MAHI TOI I finished my art this week it looks pretty good and I'm happy with the outcome                                                     THIS IS MINE                                                              \/

GEOMETRY This week we have learned how to make 3D shapes and analyze how many edges, Faces and corners there are on the 3D shapes. They were shaped as angry birds characters. I did the cube pig and stuck a face onto it. MAHI TOI For mahi toi we had to grid an A3 piece of paper and draw a circle just above the middle, We then drew branches inside the circle and draw a branch going down to the bottom of the page. Then we chose our cold and warm colors and proceeded to color in. We could put the cold colors in the background and the warm colors in the circle or vice versa.

For writing we used a brainstorming app named bubbl.us we created our own creature and and made up our own facts for it, We learnt how to use a app that can brainstorm our ideas BUBBL.US ZENTAGLE STARS For art the teina and tuakana used pencil to draw cool patterns, I learnt how to use zentangle and draw creative patterns CUPCAKES On Matariki the hole class made Matariki cupcakes they designed their own cupcakes and we took pictures of all of us holding our cupcakes then at the end of the day we ate them, I learnt how to create a good cupcake.
